Highway 100 and Blue Mound in Milwaukee has the reputation for being the busiest intersection in Wisconsin, but that doesn’t bother J&A Pohl, Inc., a concrete contractor from Brookfield, WI.
Superintendent Craig Mottl says they are on schedule for repaving the whole intersection with all new turning lanes. Included in this project are 1,200 #6 bars to be drilled and inserted. The drilling is being done with Poh’ls eight-year-old E-Z Drill Model 210-2 SRA.
According to Mr. Mottl, their drill has drilled somewhere between 300,000 and 400,000 holes, many of which were done with the same operator.
This is another example of what you can expect when you combine a quality machine with a good operator that not only knows how to operate the machine, but also how to take care of it.
J&A Pohl, Inc. also decided to purchase a brand new Model 210B-2 SRA in order to keep up with the number of paving projects this summer.
